Latest Chelsea FC transfer news and rumours

This morning’s Chelsea transfer news is split between two major stories, one involving Atletic Bilbao striker Llorente, which has a great deal of weight behind it, the other a whirlwind of optimistic tweets telling of a secret move for Robin Van Persie.

As no reliable sources can run with the Van Persie whispers we can assume this is just wishful thinking for now, although having identified Arsenal’s willingness to put a price on their captain don’t be surprised in Di Matteo makes throws money at the situation to spite Man United.

Llorente on the other hand is a dead cert to leave Atletic Bilbao as he has stated publicly that he will not renew his contract, alerting Chelsea and Tottenham.

The Spain goal machine has just one year left on his current deal at San Mames, and Bilbao had hoped he would be there for seasons to come, but will sell now to get maximum value.

Remember all that paper talk last summer about the next big thing Romelu Lukaku? Since failing to make an impact at Stamford Bridge manager Di Matteo has decided to send him off to West Brom for a season of work experience.

The Belgian striker, 19, signed for the Blues last summer in a £20million deal, but will see out a loan move in an attempt to gain first team football and return to Chelsea with bags more experience.

Chelsea FC latest news and transfer rumours

Roberto Di Matteo is a man on a mission, putting all cards on the table and pushing for two last additions to an already swollen squad, now he looks close to singing Marseille right-back Cesar Azpilicueta and Wigan attacker Victor Moses before the transfer window closes.

The longing for Azpilicueta has been apparent even since the days of AVB, but now that Chelsea has shipped out Jose Bosingwa to QPR, there is room to accommodate the young full back on the right, allowing Branislav Ivanovic to shift centre.

“Everyone thinks it’s been a tough time for me with my thoughts spilt between Marseille and Chelsea,” said Azpilicueta.

“If my departure can help Marseille’s finances, then it is a good deal for everyone concerned.

Second on Matteo’s list is the tricky wide man Victor Moses, who made several Chelsea defenders look static in last weekend’s clash, putting in a performance that will only see his value rise.

Wigan boss Martinez has so far been coy over negotiations: “We haven’t had an offer that matches his valuation so we haven’t had to make a decision.

“Victor knows that if (a club) doesn’t want a player enough, it’s not a good move. I’m delighted Victor’s here, I’m delighted he showed he’s desperate to perform for our team.”

In other news, former Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran is now playing the field at Middlesbrough, having turned down an opportunity to remain in the Premier League in favour of first-team football.

McEachran, 19, one of the most highly-rated young midfielders in the English game, made the switch to Teeside on a season long loan this week.

Adidas New Chelsea Third 2012/2013 Black Jersey

Unveiled today, Chelsea’s third shirt for the next season looks futuristic; the yellow trim is one thing but details on the chest is something you have never seen before. You can make fun of the shirt as much as you want, but heck, its only a third kit so i gave thumbs up to Adidas and Chelsea for trying something completely different. If you’re going to experiment with designs, why not do it with a club’s third jersey?

According to the Chelsea press release, “The striking sun graphic on the front of the black shirt creates a contrast in colours, giving the impression of power, while the fade in the graphic represents speed. The Chelsea badge is black and white and stands out against the sun graphic.”

I still think our away kit should always be black/yellow.. THe away kit from a few years back with the horizontal Black/Navy(dark blue? whatever it was) stripes with yellow stripes, badge, and samsung are the best looking away or third kit we have ever had. So simple and neat looking. Why dont have that every year? We have had some awful away and third kits the past few years. The awesome orange on black.. Then some sort of crazy grey stripes that were not needed. The same year a good lime green looking color where adidas just had to splash a navy stripe down the center of the shirt. Last year had again some good color with a black away kit with a teal looking lt blue that was ruined to make look like a 100 little mini windows. Then a white third kit that again incorporated good colors in the wrong places and too much of those colors. I give up on hoping for adidas to make good looking chelsea away and third kits. Thank goodness we wear blue more often than not.

The reason Chelsea FC will beat Manchester City

Chelsea FC have turned a corner under interim Soccer Jerseys manager Roberto Di Matteo. His four straight wins in all competitions ties Andre Villas-Boas’ longest win streak during his tenure in charge at Stamford Bridge. When Di Matteo pulls off the victory against Manchester City this Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium, it will be the team’s longest winning streak on the season. When the teams met for the first time back in December, Chelsea came away with a 2-1 win at home after City lost Gael Clichy to a red card. It was the first time City had shown weakness all season.

The trip up north will probably be a bit more difficult and it’s unlikely the second-place team will play a man down again. However, the ultimate result will be the same—three points for Chelsea as they continue to push for that final Champions League spot and further embarrassment for the Sky Blues after folding under pressure. Here are four reasons why this will happen.Over the past two weeks, you would be hard pressed to find a team that is playing better than Chelsea have. Only Barcelona are comparable in form due to Messi Jersey‘s 50 billion goals.

In what was surely the toughest stretch of games Chelsea FC had played all season, they played four matches in 12 days. Three of them were elimination games and the other was a must-win in the league to keep pace with Arsenal for the fourth spot.In that stretch they faced two good Championship sides, a very physical Stoke City and one of the better teams in all of Europe, Napoli. They handled all with the same kind of conviction and determination we used to expect out of this side.It was more than just the winning; it was how they did so, outscoring their opponents 12-3, with all three of those goals against being nothing short of wonder strikes by the scorers. The defense was in vintage form—something to the liking of what we saw back in 2004, when the fortress of Stamford Bridge became a dead-ball zone for opposing strikers.Real Madrid Jersey are the two teams’ goal.

On the offensive side they have been equal to the back line. Not necessarily ripping the net away, they have been doing what they could not all season—making the most of their chances. They have finally found the net and though it is not “pretty,” it is the most effective attack in the Premier League over that stretch.Compare that to what is going on at the Etihad. The Citizens, who were once squarely in charge of their own destiny, have slipped as of late like so many novice clubs do.

In the same span of games as Chelsea, they find themselves with two losses and two wins. However, one of those wins was meaningless; their 3-2 victory over Sporting in the Europa League was not enough to make up the aggregate and they were knocked out of European competition for the second time this season. The other win was a 2-0 win at home against Bolton. Though they came away with all three points, they needed an own goal by the Wanderers to keep it from being a nervy 1-0 contest.A loss to Swansea in Wales had them dropping out of the top of the table as their supposed high-octane attack struggled to make anything happen against a mediocre defense at best. The honest truth is that neither City nor Chelsea are the same as they were when they met the first time around. For the visitors, the change has been for the better.

Chelsea soccer jersey honoring London Olympic Games

I haven’t written any soccer news for a long time and I want to write something today. Adidas has announced Chelsea soccer jersey for 2012/13 season over one and a half months ago. I would like to share in the detailed information of this newly-designed Chelsea soccer jersey. The year 2012 must be among the proudest years in the history of Chelsea soccer club due to two events. To be first, Players in Chelsea soccer jerseys were the champions of the 2012 Champions League. This is the first Champions League title in the club’s history and it is really amazing that Chelsea players made history. Secondly, the year 2012 means a lot for all England’s soccer clubs including Chelsea. London is the host city of forthcoming 2012 Olympic Games and players in Chelsea soccer jerseys must be very proud.

A gold theme has been introduced to the general design of Chelsea 2012/13 soccer jersey to celebrate London 2012 Olympic Games. The gold theme is reflected by the iconic details including the three stripes across the shoulders, the gold Adidas three-stripe logo, the word Samsung and the revered team badge. Just look at the picture inserted into this article, are you fascinated with the gold icons on the navy blue body?
